Where is my Shangrila? This is it, so the Chinese government claims. Zhongdian is a small town on the road between Lijiang and Tibet. In 2002, it was renamed Shangrila (Xianggelila) as in the paradise that James Hilton imagined in his novel The Lost Horizon. Altho the dusty town may not be exactly Shangrila, the surrounding area offers whoa-inspiring scenery. (Canon Ixus 700)
