My Chinese friend Luyi came to visit over Christmas and we did a whirlwind tour of Manila, Boracay and Palawan. All in one week. Gasp! She remarked on how beautiful the islands are, that shopping is so much better in Manila than Shanghai and that our firecrackers are pffft! hee hee...
